Eric Raynard Anderson Sentenced to 35 Years for 2020 Shooting Death of Rodrecus Darrell Moore

Fourth Judicial Circuit Judge Collins Pettway sentenced 48-year-old Eric Raynard Anderson following his guilty plea in the shooting death of 28-year-old Rodrecus Darrell Moore. According to court records, the shooting took place on New Year’s Day, 2020, at approximately 4:00 p.m. on South Scottsville Road in the Town of Brent. 

Initially charged with murder, Anderson pled guilty to a reduced charge of manslaughter. He received a sentence of 420 months under the Habitual Offender Act, as the court noted that Anderson had three prior adult felony convictions.
