Awards Day at West Blocton Middle School was held on May 17, 2024. The H.D. Davidson Alumni Association presented the H.D. Davidson Legacy Award to students who displayed citizenship, leadership, and discipline during the school year. The recipients were: 5th Grade: Amiyah Cole, 6th , Grade: Keyri Henrriquez, 7th Grade: Elizabeth Evans, 8th Grade: Khloe Forsythe.
The H. D. Davidson Kindness Award was given to the students who was helpful, considerate, caring and displayed a friendly attitude. They were 5th Grade: Zander Knee, 6th Grade: Douglas Hall, 7th Grade: Bryson Hardin, 8th Grade: Ashton Jackson.
The Alumni Association was represented by Doris Banks who presented the awards.
