We’re excited to announce a major expansion of our internet service area with today’s launch of “Lightwave XR”, our new eXtended Range internet service. This launch significantly increases penetration in our coverage area, bringing reliable, high-speed internet to previously unserved and underserved addresses in Centreville & Brent. Our new equipment also extends our coverage area into some of the nearby rural areas of South Bibb outside city limits.
If you live in South Bibb County and have previously tried to connect to the Alabama Lightwave network at your home without success, it’s time to try again. Our expanded service now reaches further into South Bibb, extending north to Hickory Circle in Centreville, south as far as the Bethel Baptist Church and the intersection of Highway 25 and Highway 5, west to the Bear Creek community, and east towards Cahaba Christian Academy.
