Both teams were strong on the bump on Thursday, but West Blocton Junior Varsity Tigers defeated Central Falcons Junior Varsity 2-1. 

Matthew Patton started the game for West Blocton Junior Varsity Tigers and recorded 15 outs. 

West Blocton Junior Varsity Tigers didn’t take the lead until later in the game. The game was tied at one in the top of the fifth when Cooper Deerman lined out, scoring one run. 

West Blocton Junior Varsity Tigers were the first to get on the board in the first when Patton drew a walk, scoring one run. 

West Blocton Junior Varsity Tigers dropped a third strike, which helped Central Falcons Junior Varsity tie the game at one in the bottom of the first. 

Patton earned the win for West Blocton Junior Varsity Tigers. The starting pitcher surrendered one hit and one run (zero earned) over five innings, striking out 12 and walking none. #13 took the loss for Central Falcons Junior Varsity. 

The starting pitcher went five innings, allowing two runs on three hits, striking out two and walking one. 

Deerman set the tone at the top of the lineup, leading West Blocton Junior Varsity Tigers with two hits in three at bats. West Blocton Junior Varsity Tigers ran wild on the base paths, tallying five stolen bases for the game. 

#13 led Central Falcons Junior Varsity with one hit in two at bats. #25 stole two bases. Central Falcons Junior Varsity turned one double play in the game.
