Carson Deerman drove in four runs on five hits to lead West Blocton Varsity Tigers past Billingsley 16-11 on Thursday. Carson Deerman doubled in the fifth scoring two, doubled in the seventh scoring two, and singled in the fourth scoring one.  

West Blocton Varsity Tigers collected 19 hits and Billingsley had 10 in the high-scoring affair. West Blocton Varsity Tigers got on the board in the third inning after Jake Smith doubled, scoring one run. Billingsley flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fourth, scoring six runs on two hits to take a 6-3 lead.  

The biggest blow in the inning was a passed ball that drove in one allowed six hits and three runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out eight and walking three. Jake Smith appeared in relief for West Blocton Varsity Tigers. 

West Blocton Varsity Tigers collected 19 hits in the game. Brody Cook, Hunter McRee, Devin Schmalz, and Jake Smith each collected multiple hits for West Blocton Varsity Tigers. Caden Fancher paced West Blocton Varsity Tigers with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, amassing nine walks for the game. Devin Schmalz stole two bases. West Blocton Varsity Tigers stole four bases in the game. West Blocton Varsity Tigers were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Tyler Martin had the most chances in the field with 11. 

Billingsley accumulated 10 hits in the game. Kyle Boice, Eli Manning, and Turner Motley each collected two hits for Billingsley. Eli Manning, Hunter Wyatt, and Nathan Gilmore each drove in two runs for Billingsley. Billingsley had a strong eye at the plate, tallying nine walks for the game. Kyle Boice and Landon Jones led the team with two walks each. Eli Manning, Landon Jones, and Marshall Headley each stole multiple bases for Billingsley. Billingsley ran wild on the base paths, amassing nine stolen bases for the game. West Blocton Varsity Tigers welcome Marion on Monday for their next game.
