Kaitlyn Howard Named Winner of the 2024 Distinguished Young Woman Competition

The 2024 Distinguished Young Woman (DYW) competition in Bibb County, held at the Board of Education Auditorium, celebrated the achievements of exceptional young women, with Kaitlyn Howard emerging as the winner. Kaitlyn not only secured the overall title but also excelled in Interview, Scholastic, Talent, Self Expression, and Fitness categories, earning her a scholarship and the chance to represent Bibb County at the upcoming DYW of Alabama program in Montgomery. Addyline Tillery and Millie Morris were named 1st and 2nd Alternates, respectively, while Callie Elliott and Katie Sue Mott were among the finalists. These participants demonstrated outstanding fundraising abilities, raising over $1000 each. Several contestants received scholarships for their exceptional performances, with sponsors, organizations, and individuals contributing generously to the program’s success. The event highlighted the contestants’ talents, community contributions, and awarded scholarships to support their educational pursuits, ensuring a bright future for these remarkable young women.
