K.C. Payne Jr., of Centreville, Alabama, passed away November 9th, 2023. K.C. was preceded in death by his loving wife Catherine Payne; his parents, K.C. Payne and Ella Payne; his sisters, Geneva Ragland and Shirley Green; and his brother, Jerry Payne. He is survived by his two sisters, Gloria Payne and Linda Marchant; his four loving children, Linda “Gail” Joiner (LD), Daniel Payne (Kayla), Kenneth “David” Payne (Vickie), and William Payne (Greyson); his five grandchildren, Marquice Watson (Michelle), Kayla Moore, Austin Payne, Kari Payne, and Kyndall Payne; his great-grandchildren, Keegan Moore, Aybree Moore, Meelah Moore, Wynter Watson, and Ryver Watson; and a host of special friends.

Memorial Service will be Saturday, November 18th at Calvary Baptist Church. Visitation with the family will be from 3pm-4pm. The service will start around 4pm. The address is 133 Oakley Ave, Centreville, Alabama 35042.

Daniel Payne has lived in Bibb County all of his life. He graduated from BCHS in 1988 and played baseball and football for the Choctaws. He lives with his wife Kayla in Eoline and they have three daughters, Kayla, Kari, and Kyndall. They also have three granddaughters, Keegan, Aybree, and Meelah. Daniel enjoys all kinds of sports and hunts whenever he can. He also loves history and touring Civil War forts and other sites. Daniel has worked at Phifer Incorporated for the past 25 years and volunteers with the football and baseball teams at BCHS.
