Friday, September 29th was filled with excitement for students at Woodstock Elementary School as they learned about different careers during Careers on Wheels. Professionals from the City of Woodstock, Woodstock Police Department, Bibb County Sheriff’s Department, Green Pond Fire and Rescue, Parasol Treats, Alabama Power, MBUSI (Mercedes), Sibley Equipment (Ty Corbell), Bibb Medical Center, and Amserv came to the school to show off their vehicles and then discuss their careers with students. Students watched a bucket truck go up and down; put on sheriff safety equipment; set in the back of an ambulance, a Mercedes Benz, and a digger; and ate “very good” ice cream (in the words of one student). Thank you to all of these organizations/agencies for taking the time to share your careers with our students.
