Mark your calendars for a delightful day of family-friendly activities, music, and community spirit at the Fall Farm Day hosted by Tabernacle Farm in Brent! This event promises a memorable experience for everyone, all while supporting a noble cause — the Sandy Wayne Sanctuary of Hope. Here’s everything you need to know about this exciting event happening on Saturday, October 14th, from 10 am to 4 pm.

The Sandy Wayne Sanctuary of Hope: A Lifeline for Senior and Special-Needs Animals

Operated by Billy and Reba Morse, the Sandy Wayne Sanctuary of Hope is a non-profit organization that specializes in rescuing senior adult, special needs, and hospice stage animals, primarily dogs. Their mission is driven by compassion and a commitment to giving these animals a second chance at a happy life. What sets them apart is that they operate entirely on donations and funds raised from events like Fall Farm Day.

Live Music to Set the Mood

The event will feature live performances by the West Blocton First Baptist Church Praise Team, “Endless Hallelujah.” Additionally, you can dance along to the country sounds of Taylor Bagi, a singer/songwriter hailing from Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Taylor’s music is available on major platforms like iTunes, YouTube, Apple Music, and Amazon Music, and he has even opened for country music icon Craig Morgan at the Woodstock Music Festival.

Entertainment for Everyone

Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the live music while soaking in the autumn atmosphere. This is a dog-friendly event, so feel free to bring your furry friends, but make sure they are leashed. Children can get into the Halloween spirit by wearing their costumes and participating in Trick or Treating at various vendor booths as well. West Blocton First Baptist Church’s booth will offer the children pumpkin painting.

Arts, Crafts, and Delicious Food

Over 40 arts and crafts vendors will be on-site, some of them offering live demonstrations of their craft. Foodies, rejoice! Food trucks like Beanz N Greenz and BBQ & Gumbo by Kenneth Cash & Sylvia Cash White will be serving up delicious treats. Don’t forget to satisfy your sweet tooth with homemade goods, boiled peanuts, kettle corn, cotton candy, caramel apples, candy, cookies, freeze-dried candies, and more.

Fun for Kids and Animal Lovers

For the young ones and the young at heart, there will be pony and horse rides, face painting, a hayride, a petting zoo, a bouncy house, and even a pumpkin patch. Plus, you’ll have the chance to meet some adorable dogs from the Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter, who will be on the adoption bus, eagerly waiting for their forever homes.

Parking and Vendor Information

Parking will be available in the field in front of Brent Elementary School, with handicap parking at Brent Methodist Church. Vendors and sponsors are welcome to participate until October 1. For vendor inquiries, please contact Cynthia Winegard at 205-340-1660.
