BIBB COUNTY, ALABAMA

MARCH 12, 2022

Centreville Press Editor David Daniel interviewed Bibb County Commissioner Matt Downs this week on a range of issues including economic development and the county’s planned use of American Rescue Plan [Covid-19] funding the county has and will receive.

During the interview Commissioner Downs mentioned that the county has signed a lease with a business that will manufacture aircraft at the Bibb County airport. Renovations are underway and the business plans to open by Summer 2022. When operating at full capacity the business may employ up to 100 people.

This is great economic news for Bibb County and our local airport. The Centreville Press will continue to follow this story and report more details as they are available.

The complete interview with Commissioner Downs is available for viewing here.
