West Blocton High School hired a new football coach and he started to work this week but there was no team to meet due to the Covid outbreak, distance learning, and quarantine rules that interrupt almost everything in the schools these days.
New head Coach Dre’Mail King has coached in West Alabama football circles for a few years. He graduated from Central High School of Tuscaloosa, played college ball at Mississippi State and completed his education at Stillman College. He went on to professional football before entering coaching ranks in 2016. He has coached in Georgia high schools, ACA Academy in Tuscaloosa and Greensboro prior to hiring on to coach the West Blocton Tigers this 2022 season.
