Saturday, October 30, 2021 will bring a lot of activity and entertainment to Centreville’s Courthouse Square and the Centreville Historic Business District.

The City of Centreville will host and sponsor Colors on the Cahaba between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Event co-ordinator Melissa Thompson hopes that the fall festival will become an annual event. Vendors offering Arts & Crafts and food trucks will be on hand to serve the public. An antique car show is also planned. Admission to this event is free.

One unusual and first time vendor for the event will be an “Axe Throwing” venue, sponsored by the Centreville Historic Preservation Commission. Proceeds from this event will go towards the renovation and preservation of the historic Bank Building, a Centreville landmark.

CHPC plans to have the old Bank Building open during the afternoon for visitors. CHPC chairman Christian Sanford said the axe throwing event should be a lot of fun. Put a photo or banner picture of your favorite target on the wall and throw the axe at them !

From 6 pm to 8 pm the FOP Cahaba Lodge #44 will sponsor Trunk or Treat with the Cops. This unique Halloween event is targeted at the young crowd, ages 12 and under. Kids should come dressed for Halloween and join in the fun. There is no admission fee.
