Our friends at Cahaba Riverkeeper have asked us for your help in responding to ADEM asking for improvements in water quality standards for our Cahaba River. You can help by offering photos of yourself or your friends enjoying the benefits of a clean Cahaba watershed. Instructions are below if you want to participate. Bibb Voice.
| We’re looking for photos of you, your family, or friends swimming in the Cahaba or its tributaries to show that water quality standards must be upgraded to ensure they are protective of human health.
We need to show ADEM that swimming (and other water-contact sports) happen YEAR-ROUND in the Cahaba River. |

PLEASE send us your photos documenting swimming, snorkeling, fishing, whitewater canoeing/kayaking, or any other water activities. Here’s what we need:
- Photos must be in the Cahaba (or other stream in the Cahaba River watershed) to be helpful.
- Please include the approximate location (i.e. Cahaba River between X road and X road) and the date. Photos can be recent or from the past.
- Faces can be blurred to protect privacy or anonymity. If you’d like, we can do that for you.
