In partnership with Bibb Medical Center, Cahaba Medical Care will be opening a new full-spectrum primary care clinic in West Blocton, providing easier access to medical and behavioral health care to both children and adults.

Cahaba Medical Care has been serving residents of West Blocton for 17 years by providing primary care in Centreville since 2004, implementing house calls in 2006, expanding to open a clinic in the neighboring community of Woodstock in 2015, and most recently, opening a school-based health clinic at West Blocton Elementary School in 2018. The new clinic, located at 319 Magnolia Street, will open on June 7, 2021.

“We are excited to be working within the community of West Blocton. We have felt a part of this community with our location in the elementary school but are excited to bring full-spectrum primary care to all ages through our partnership with Bibb Medical Center. We hope that by bringing local access to medical and behavioral health care back to town, the community of West Blocton will notice improvement in their health and wellness throughout the upcoming decades,” said Dr. John B. Waits, CEO of Cahaba Medical Care.

Cahaba Medical Care – West Blocton will provide a wide range of services, including family health, urgent care, pediatrics, prenatal care and obstetrics, gynecological services, chronic disease management, preventative care and cancer screenings, behavioral health and counseling, and much more.
