Local community leader Jackson McNeely announced a community meeting to be held today, November 19 at the Ashby Baptist Church. McNeely told The Bibb Voice that several guest speakers are expected for the meeting and a good crowd is expected to attend to receive updates about local efforts to block Governor Kay Ivey’s intentions to locate a 3000 inmate prison in the rural Brierfield Community.
The 6:30 p.m. meeting is open to the public.
