Repairs, renovations, or rebuilding, depending on how you look at the project – local nonprofit group Be The Village is asking for anyone who knows how to frame a wall, lay flooring, or do plumbing, wiring, or anything else construction related to give them a call urgently.

Joseph Deason, the Exective Director of Be The Village, Inc. posted a video on Facebook Monday, asking for help this Friday and Saturday. Watch his short video here. In it, Deason describes an elderly resident of our community needing repairs to his home to make it safe, and a nicer space to spend the end of one’s life. The resident – who isn’t named – is on hospice. The home to be repaired is in bad shape. For Deason and the group that focuses on lifting up everyone in our “village,” the answer is simple: come together and get it done. If you are able to help this weekend, contact Joseph directly via his or the Be The Village Facebook pages.
