Is your airplane stuck in traffic. Can’t fly your Citation in to Tuscaloosa 1 hour before kickoff on Saturday. Blame it on Trump.

The President’s decision to attend the Alabama LSU game in Tuscaloosa  will also clog up traffic at the Bibb County airport on Saturday. The no-fly zone stop will inconvenience pilots traveling through, landing, or departing from Bibb County International for several hours while Air Force One circles nearby Tuscaloosa, prior to and after the Elephant/Tiger throw down. Don’t plan to use Eutaw as an alternate either.

The FAA calls this a TFR, a temporary flight restriction. While the above paragraph is “tongue in cheek” a pilot who flies into a TFR gets into serious trouble and may meet an armed fighter jet in the process. While they won’t shoot you down a pilot can face sanctions, up to and including suspension of flight privileges for violating a TFR. So, if you know any pilots be sure they know that Bibb County is in the TFR zone for Saturday’s game.

The full wording of the TFR is printed below.
