The Bibb County Extension Office recently announced in their December 2016 Email Digest that there are many 4-H programs currently in progress in Bibb County, including after-school programs, in-school programs, youth animal sciences programs and many others.

bcyl-02One of the more popular programs featured in the December report is the Bibb County Youth Leadership 2016-17.   This year marks the 9th year for the 4-H Bibb County Youth Leadership Program for high school juniors at West Blocton High School, Bibb County High School and Cahawba Christian School.  Students from West Blocton High School, Bibb County High School and Cahawba Christian School.  Bibb County Youth Leaders conducted their first session Thursday morning, October 27 at Heritage Park in Brent, with 4-H Foundation Agent Simon Carbone leading teambuilding activities.  The second session took place November 29th at Bibb Medical Center, where the youth learnedbcyl-03 their teambuilding skills with the featured activity of the day being an educational tour of Medical Center campus.   Hospitality leaders helping to host the session included  Jami Carlee, Karen Daniel, Mitzi Elliott, Joseph Marchant and Bibb Medical Center support staff.
