Bibb County voters turned out in record numbers today and most of them voted the straight Republican Ticket or for the Trump/Pence Ticket. Of the 13,510 registered voters in Bibb a total of 8,845 or 65% cast ballots. 70% of those votes were straight Republican and 76% went for Trump/Pence.
In local races, all of the Republican candidates won their individual races. In a contested race Republican Keefe Burt defeated Democrat Walter Sansing for a Bibb County Commission seat by a 1,252 to 678 margin.
On the Constitutional Amendments Amendment 6 was defeated by a vote of 3,235 No to 2,989 Yes and Amendment 9 was defeated by 2,692 No to 2,474 Yes.
