Jeff Dodson was installed this evening as the new Mayor of Woodstock. After being sworn in by Former Probate Judge Jerry Pow Mayor Dodson presided over the Organizational Meeting. Also sworn into office were council members Ty Corbell, Ernestine Johnson, Jerry Beams, Danny Frederick and Don Bowling. Ernestine Johnson was elected Mayor Pro Tem.
Mayor Dodson appointed Tiffney McCulley as Town Clerk and reappointed Len Price as the Chief of Police.
I was trying to find out a place to leave a comment about building a nice walking track area, there is really no where to go close for exercise, I have heard many comment on this, we have no gyms here, so many would like to see a nice and safe area to walk or run daily. Please consider giving us a nice park/track combo or at least a nice big area to walk safely.
You probably should make a call to the Woodstock Town Hall at (205) 938-9790 and ask for the Town Clerk or Mayor Dodson to pass this along. We are not the official government site, just a news organization.
