Woodstock, Ala. — At a meeting yesterday, July 25th, of the Green Pond Water System Board, Interim President Jim Mullinax appointed a four person hiring committee to find a new payroll clerk for water system while the board approved Kenny Boyd as the board’s new supervisor. Mr. Boyd will be replacing former supervisor Clinton Paul Murphy, who was arrested on July 5th along with water board clerk Jacqueline Darlene West in an on going embezzlement investigation.
Interim President Jim Mullinax took these actions in the absence of former board president Steve Hutchins, who was also arrested by Bibb County deputies during the last meeting of the board which took place on Friday, July 21st 2017.
Mr. Hutchins is accused of stealing more than $100,000.
The first court appearance for those charged will be Jacqueline Darlene West, who is to appear August 15th for a preliminary hearing in the case against her.
