BIBB COUNTY, Ala. —
This morning, July 5th, investigators arrested Clinton Paul Murphy 46, of McCalla and Jacqueline Darlene West 38, of West Blocton, employees of the Greenpond Water System.
These arrests came in the middle of an investigation of embezzlement being conducted by the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office in conjunction with the FBI.
Both Murphy and West were charged with Theft of Property 1st – Felony, and each are currently being held in The Bibb County Jail with a bond set at $30,000.00.
The investigation is ongoing with more charges to come. Murphy served as the water department supervisor and West was the payroll clerk.
